About Blended Kitchen

Welcome to Blended Kitchen!  This blog was created by Cindy, a Missouri momma, and her smokin’ stepdaughter, Lindsey, who both live (and love!) to eat.  Together, they’re on a mission to find the best recipes on earth. From chicken and beef to chocolate and beer, they’re trying anything (and everything) that makes them drool. Follow them on their hunt for the most scrumptious snacks, delicious desserts and magnificent main courses while you discover their Blended Kitchen.

Blended Kitchen GirlsThe lovely ladies of Blended Kitchen

Why Blended Kitchen? In 2000, Cindy married Peter and his two daughters, Lindsey and Claire, successfully blending two families into one. Then, in 2005, a new ingredient was added to the mix: the Nugget, Peter IV, joined the Blended Kitchen crew, creating the perfect combination of sweet and spicy. Now Cindy and Lindsey are mixing it up in the kitchen and hoping to find that perfect blend of ingredients that they’ve found in their family.

Hola! I’m Cindy – aka Missouri Momma. Welcome to our blog, Blended Kitchen! Here, my stepdaughter and I will pass along family favorites, personal favorites and hopefully *new* favorites.  We will try recipes from magazines, websites and cookbooks we have picked up along the way. Follow along with us and join the Blended Kitchen we have created!

Hi. My name is Lindsey and I’m addicted to good food. Just thought I’d get that out of the way before we got any further. Blended Kitchen started as kind of joke between me and my stepmom, Cindy, after we fell in love with Pioneer Woman and my Google Reader started overflowing with food blogs. What once was a joke is now becoming a reality, and I’m excited about it! Together, Cindy and I will eat our way through the internet, our favorite magazines, cookbooks (old and new), neighborhood cooking classes and local restaurants. We hope you’ll enjoy our taste tests just as much as we do (and without gaining the 20 pounds that we’re bound to put on throughout this experiment!)

We’ll leave you with a few parting words: nom. nom. nom.
